Experience Out-Of-This-World Fun With Mini Bowling
Twilight Zone Mini Golf has four mini bowling lanes where you can test your skills to see if you have what it takes to get the top score. Our mini bowling lanes are tons of fun for all ages. The design and layout of our lanes make it the perfect game where everyone in the family can play. Even smaller players can enjoy the game without any help from their parents.
Don’t know how to bowl? No problem. Our electronic scoring system keeps score for you while you focus on your game. The shorter lanes and smaller balls make hitting the pins easier while you’re learning to bowl.
What Is Mini Glow-in-the-Dark Bowling?
Our Twilight Zone aliens used their shrink ray to take regular bowling lanes and convert them into a smaller version of the traditional game. Our aliens also shrunk down the bowling balls and bowling pins, and added glow-in-the-dark features, so our mini bowling alley consists of elevated lanes with smaller pins and lighter bowling balls. But the object is still the same: Try to knock over all the pins in two throws for each frame.
In other words, mini bowling is very similar to 10-pin bowling, but all the components needed for mini bowling are smaller, and the frames are shorter. These differences make mini bowling a fast-paced game which is perfect for anyone who wants to go bowling in Vegas.
How Do You Play Mini Glow-in-the-Dark Bowling?
The rules are the same as traditional bowling but with a few minor changes, thanks to our Twilight Zone aliens shrinking the game. The rules are as follows:
- The number of people playing each game does not matter
- Instead of 10 frames, there are five frames, making games go faster
- Each person gets two throws per frame to try to knock over all 10 pins
- Spares and strikes are still in play
- The player with the highest score at the end can do a victory dance
The total time to play mini bowling is about four to five minutes per person at your party. So, for a family of four, playing one entire game would take between 16 and 25 minutes.
Scoring
Our electronic scoring system will keep track of your points, so you don’t have to. Still, it helps to understand how the scoring works. You get a point for every pin you knock down during a frame. Suppose you throw your first ball and knock down three pins. You throw your second ball and knock down four more. You would get seven points.
A spare occurs when you knock over all 10 pins in two throws. When you get a spare, you get 10 points for that frame, plus points for all the pins you knock down in the first throw of your next frame. Suppose you knock down five pins from your first throw in your next game. Those five pins would count toward that frame and also be added to your prior frame where you earned the spare. In other words, the points from that first throw count twice.
A strike occurs when you knock down all of the pins with your first throw in a frame. The scoring is similar to the scoring for a spare, with one key difference. Instead of the points earned in your next throw counting twice, the points earned in your next two throws count twice. That means that during your next frame, all the points you earn in that frame count for that frame, and the same number of points are added to the prior frame where you earned your strike.
